The Raj Bhavan library consists of about 8524 books in different languages such as English, Oriya, Bengali, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu. The collection includes books on the Constitution, and various other subjects such as religion, philosophy, history, culture, yoga, literature, economics, management and computer science. Apart from this, many important reference journals and Law Reports are available in the Library. The library is used by the Governor, the staff of Raj Bhavan and their families. Guests, who visit the Raj Bhavan and stay there, can also use the library. The library hall functioning in a room near Household section was inaugurated by His Excellency Shri M. M. Rajendran on 9th October 2002. Now the Library is located in a two-storeyed building with conferencing/video conferencing facilities near the second portico towards the northern side of the main building. The building was inaugurated by Smt. Almela Jamir, Hon’ble First Lady and Dr. S.C. Jamir, Hon’ble Governor on 5th Dec, 2014.
